“Survival can be summed up in three words: never abandon.” – Bear Grylls

Oh Jun-Wu (Yoo Ah-in) is a fairly popular online player who quickly finds himself in the middle of an apocalypse of the zombie type. His family comes out and he finds a note from his mother (then Hee-Jung) to go shopping. Being a typical teenager, he does not do so, and he quickly finds himself regretting this decision.

On the news speaks of an infection that spreads like forest fires across the country, and those that infect violent and cannibal features, which Jun-Wu sees from the first hand when a girl attacks her mother. And, as with any zombie movie, being bitten or striped spreads the infection. The Jun-Wu bunkers in his apartment, doing his best to ration his food and his water, and it takes less than a month to run out.

Wi-Fi signals and mobile phone are decreasing, but he uses his drone to control his phone up of his complex to get a better signal. He finds that he has a vocal message, so he listens to him. It is her mother who asks her to stay inside and that she and the rest of the family are safe in the office of Jun-Wu’s father. But then Jun-Wu intends to shout and call for help, and that’s when voicemail stops.

Assuming that his family died, Jun-Wu installs a knot of fortune to hang himself, but is stopped when he sees a laser pointer shine by his window. It was at this moment that he met Kim Yu-Bin (Park Shin-Hye). The knowledge of someone else alive fuels Jun-Wu’s desire for survival and the two help each other, either by sending food in both directions, or by lifting the other’s mind with a simple conversation.

However, they realize that they will not live long if they stay where they are, then they escape on the eighth floor, where Yu-Bin swears that it is clear. She is wrong, but they are saved by another survivor (Jeon Bae-Su). He gives them food and water, but it is not as kind as it seems. They soon discover that they were drug addicts and that the survivor hangs Yu-Bin in another room where his wife (Lee Chae-Kyeong) was infected and he intends to use Yu-Bin and Jun-Wu as food for her.

While Yu-Bin fights the woman, Jun-Wu arrives and runs to her help. They manage to escape when the survivor opens the door and his wife falls on him and biting him. A few moments later, Yu-Bin and Jun-Wu hear the sound of helicopters and take a break so that the roof tries to report them. When they do, however, they see no helicopter and the infected broke out through the roof door.

Just when you think that all its lost, a helicopter rises and two military officers open fire on the infected, keeping them enough to put jun-wu and Yu-Bin safe. As they fly away, Jun-Wu’s phone is triggered and he sees that he has received many messages from his mother, and he realizes that his family (at least, some of them) is alive.

This film begins to feel very collegial. Although the zombie action begins almost immediately, there is not much to do in the path of really anything, except Jun-Wu, passing every day, and the game leaves a little to be desired. There is not much to Gore, that some people might prefer, and only one scary. Other than that, there was really not much too.

But before I think I hate this film, I must say that it improves, the more it goes. You are sucked in the life of Jun-Wu and Yu-Bin and their battle to stay alive. The end with helicopter rescue was a bit predictable, but I cannot calm them down because a lot of films and television are predictable.

I can’t say that I can’t wait to look at that, but it was not terrible. I definitely saw worse. If you are a fan of unconditional zombie, you could enjoy it. I would say, however, the zombies run and they are extremely intelligent. I mean as you know how to climb strings. Because this happens at some point. I am not a big fan of that with regard to zombie films, but I did not hate it either. I would say to give it a shot to it. You might really love it.
