How did Elena come to you?

I only “met” Elena by arriving in Vancouver to shoot him. I had the hearing because I finished a show in Mexico, and everything happened so quickly. I made four hearings on Zoom, then I gave myself up for the, I had a reading in chemistry with Peter. And just after that, I finished my other show, and I was in it.

I was so happy and surprised. But I lost my passport. I lost myself, I could not immediately fly II hoped that I was not losing work because of it. Fortunately, everything was aligned and I could arrive in Vancouver a little hastily, but once I arrived, I just put myself online with everything that was going on on the set.

Everyone was really welcoming, really sweet since the first day. I must tell the truth that it facilitated me to settle down and focus on the meeting with Elena. Fortunately, I had a few days when I did not film where I had time to read everything, to do the work and to meet Peter to talk about our characters. I did not have months; Everything happened fairly quickly.

How did you both create this chemistry that punctuates, this familiarity with each other who makes the public believe you as a mother and son?

As an actor, it sometimes happens and sometimes it does not happen. There is a language that is only the language of hearts that try to connect, just human sensitivities trying to create a truth in the moment. Everything seems artificial when you film. You see the cameras and the sets. VR is not a VR. It’s in a whole, and you know it all. For the great and magical creation of this reality, this theatrical representation of what life is, the center must be a real link.

I think it’s really doing the job to open your heart and try to connect with this sensitivity, this non -verbal and non -rational connection that occurs between because there is an exchange of soul, energy and two souls meeting and wanting to tell the same story and try to find a common truth. This magic occurs if we approach each other with good sensitivity, how open you are and how receptive you are to other actors.

Owen as a producer and [showrunner] Jason Keller and the whole cast created this for us. We all really felt welcome all the time. And it just makes you easier.

Until now, my favorite scene is the one where the character of Marc Maron, Mitt, told Elena that she inadvertently said something terribly injuring for the character of Owen Wilson, Pryce. Many actors would have had a great reaction, but yours was even more significant because it was so subtle and internal.

It was also one of my favorite scenes. I love this moment for Elana because it is the moment when she sees, in a way, not rationally, but through her heart, what Pryce crosses, the grief he carries. She didn’t know at first how to measure him. She is very doubtful and she is very vigilant, defending her son from this influence. I love that you have noticed that the movement there is seated. This is how I wanted to project it because it is a moment of realization at the heart of the character.

This moment for Elena is when she stops her antics to be defensive and she says: “Okay, I’m going to have a different approach.”

Thank you for noticing, because for me, it was a beautiful moment, and with Marc, we built it together. We both worked on a very thin line there, and we suspended it, and we maintained it. It was beautiful, and in the end, we were hugged. We were on the same wavelength, and it was really good.

What do we learn from Elena of the clothes she wears?

The artists of the costume department wanted to give this feeling of Elena that she was a very common mother in the sense that they wanted to create a common image of her which was very accessible to all those who saw her. She is an earth-to-terre mother, an ordinary mother who buys her clothes wherever she can, but she has her moments of freedom, with small female details, a little flair.

Many Latin mothers still wear the types of pencil skirts and tights from the 80s, and that’s what Elena carries when she goes to the bank.

What is the best advice you have ever received to be an actor?

When I was young, I played Puck A summer night dream. I was dressed like an elf, all in green. I remember that I was talking about and that I was talking about and that I was talking with another actor behind the scenes before continuing. One of the older actors who had all this experience came and he withdrew me and he said: “Keep your energy for the scenes. Do not waste it. And do your job on stage. ” It was great, great advice I always remembered because it’s true. Each actor has their own ways of preparing to enter a scene. Some need to speak or blow up, or go exercise, and all kinds of different preparations. But I thought it was so wise to say that you do not waste your energy because it requires a lot of energy, a lot of attention, a lot of emotional energy to perform.
