This Saturday, July 12, Chaz Ebert will moderate a Q&R with the writer / director Ari Aster about his latest film, “Eddington”, after a special promotional projection at the Chicago music box theater at 7 p.m.
A24 thus describes the film:
In May 2020, a confrontation between a small town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and the mayor (Pedro Pascal) triggered a barrel of powder as a neighbor opposed to the neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico.
From the writer / director Ari Aster (beautiful a fear, hereditary, Midsommar), Eddington also features Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Clifton Collins Jr., with Austin Butler and Emma Stone.
In our review of the Cannes Film Festival, the editor -in -chief Brian Tallerico described the film as “a difficult film that plays with hot end ideas”.
“There will be a fascinating discussion around this film, including people who consider its undeniable courageous ambition and those who think that its irresponsible racial provocations. I think that is how as Astra wants it. He made a film on divided communities, and he hopes in his way of doing the same thing to his audience.”
You can find out more about the closed window projection (and buy tickets for future projections) on the official Music Box Theater website.
