Four films on imminent death experiences (NDE), shared death experiences (SDE) and related phenomena will be screened at the annual conference of the International Association of Death Studies (IAnds “), from August 27 to 31 at Hilton in Oak Brook Hills, Illinois ,, Janet Riley, Executive Director of IAnds. The annual conference includes four days of education and workshops More than 800 researchers, doctors, nurses, mental health professionals and members of the clergy, as well as those who have had an imminent death or interested in the field.
“Suffering in gold”, a award -winning documentary film follows the journey of Paul Gralen, a terminal man with SLA, and his wife, Beth Orr. After the screening of Wednesday August 27 at 7:30 p.m., Chaz Ebert, author of Chicago and publisher of Rogerebert.com, will moderate a discussion with Beth Orr and William Peters, founder of the shared crossing project and a renowned expert in the field of shared death experiences.
Ebert will follow with a signature for his new book, “it’s time to give a feck: raising humanity by forgiveness, empathy, compassion and kindness.” More details on the book here. Or use the QR code below.
