One battle after the other – Review & Cocktail – GenMovi

I am sure that each generation at one time or another thought: “It is the worst that it has ever been”. Concern, fear, sadness, anxiety; All these new feelings are not invented by magic whenever a generation grows and must finally think by itself. The world has always had something wrong in class, and call me a pessimistic if you wish, I don’t think it will really change. But it can be good to face the horrors of today, recognizing the pain caused and enveloping you in dread as a way to lead you to actively do what you can to fight for a better future. If that’s how you like to manage things, do I have the film 2025 for you. It’s called Eddington.

But, if you are looking for something a little more hope but no less poignant, well you are lucky, because it is the film we are talking about today. But not only does it succeed in all of this, I have the pleasure of saying that it can potentially succeed in being a fucking masterpiece.

One battle after another maybe fair THE Film of the year for me; A film which is so intrinsically linked to our current state, but also remembers entertaining yourself in a way that you will be in a hurry to find this year. Welcoming flawless, with an electric rhythm and much funnier than it probably has the right to be, this film on the theme of the bite can prove to be one of the greatest pleasures of the crowd of the year. I had the chance to see this in 70 mm with a hyper-engaged crowd and I have not yet come down from this top. It must tell you that it is something special, and if you are not yet fully sold, I hope I can do it for you.

The film follows a flagship of Stoner faded named Bob, who has come out of the game for many years after the arrest of his lover and rarely rare their operation, leaving him a girl to raise by himself. Sixteen years later and a ghost of Bob’s past returns to haunt him with a strange fascination to capture his daughter Willa. The characters of Stoner, the vulnerability and the appreciation of the past are all expected, but it is the latter which seems significantly different. A lot of Pta The films focus on the fascination for a period of time for a long time, but it is one of the first that I am aware of what attacks the future with enthusiasm. His love of revolted eras faces reality from the front; Instead that people are building up to the future, his characters are now fighting. And as I said, his approach to this reality is much more optimistic and less nihilistic than you think. It is perhaps because the guy is a father, because you can really feel compassion for the generations to come through Willa, who was born in circumstances less than ideal, but finds this spark of combat that she saw her father left a long time ago. The angle of the father / daughter here is quite comforting, succeeding in providing so much development despite the separation of the father and the girl for most. It is in a way beauty; The malicious powers that cause most of the film’s problems are often clumsy, non -distorted and ridiculous. Meanwhile, the flow of the film is so well punctuated, never having a single drop of energy or goal or entertainment throughout. Even when something simple happens, the composition and the camera make overtime to make sure everything remains interesting. A conversation in a mirror, a case concluded in a away shot, a roller coaster of a car in pursuit of sloping hills which is so fascinating and so tense that it would remain in my mind for a long time. But you cannot ignore the frantic partition, some of my favorite bits being floating pieces in the third act as a handful of people are desperately looking for their targets. It looks great, it sounds great … Do you take that this movie is great?

But with the film so anchored in the problems of the real world, what is it? What is the big point to remember from everything? Honestly, and I don’t say that much … I don’t think that is what is important here. Look, how could I have a film with a revolutionary group called the French 75 and not Make a sort of riff drinked on the popular cocktail. INGREDIENTS

• 1.5 oz of gin infused at the hibiscus
• 1/2oz Green Chartreuse
• 1/2oz of lemon juice
• Agave nectar 1/2oz
• 2 Habanero Bitters dashes
• Top: Champagne

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add the ingredients to a shaker and shake with ice.
2. Pass the cocktail in a refrigerated champagne flute.
3. Top with Champagne.
