To help jump-start ideas and action, this fall we’re hosting Cool Girl’s Guide to the Television Business, a seminar led by industry experts guiding the next generation of creatives on how to navigate the planning stages to production.
Adria Lang and Scarlett Amaris (the coolest girls in the industry) will be on hand to share professional advice, real-life experiences and insider tips – the ultimate package for discovering the secrets to success in the TV business .
Lang is a powerhouse screenwriter, co-executive producer, producer and director. She is best known for her work on INVINCIBLE, You, The Silver Devil, American Gods, Berlin train station, Fantasy Island, Helix And Sons of Anarchy among others. Most recently, Lang wrote and directed the upcoming There is no antimemetic division.
Amaris is a screenwriter and director, has written on numerous genre films including Color out of spacestarring Nicolas Cage, and was named a finalist for the superior quality of his screenplay in the Bram Stoker Prize. His films have won awards at TIFF, Fantastic Fest, and the HP Lovecraft Film Festival. A few years ago, Amaris moved to television, where she established herself as a true force of influence.
Participants will leave with a clear understanding of the television process, from creating compelling characters and stories to presenting their projects to executives and management. The small, focused size of the seminar allows for individual feedback, helping participants refine their work with direct guidance from experienced professionals.
