Destiny Outreach: Danita E. Patterson makes a Midwest Hollywood | Features

A month ago, Destiny Outreach launched her Dreams & Destiny® Film / TV WorkForce program – Entertainment industry learning program. Since then, the program has placed 21 apprentices aged 16 to 24 in union entertainment jobs and not unionized in Chicago. From June, they were selected in Cinecity Studios Chicago, the Stellar Awards of Central City Productions, CAN TV, Theater 47 and RGE Entertainment / APC Theatre.

The founder of the group, Hollywood / TV, Danita E. Patterson, invented the pipeline she created thanks to her program as “Midwest Hollywood”.

“I had a vision and a dream of decades ago to have an impact on the next generation. The first day, see the faces of these 21 apprentices made me cry because my dream made the loop of the full,” shared Patterson.

As part of the course program in 14 parts of the program, the apprentices met the distribution of “The Chi” by Showtime, accumulated 55 hours of training, guest IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) Local Unions and Leadership Professionals for Career Panels, Set Liquette, Team Building Activities, which produced two short films on the same day.

The program will extend until September 13, 2025.

The waiting list of the second cohort of Destiny Outreach, which will start in November 2025 and will continue until March 2026 growing already growing.

A showcase for the program will occur when Saturday 19 July 2025, Destiny Outreach will welcome her D! Media day from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Cine City Studios Chicago, 2429 W. 14th St. The event will include a press conference from 11:00 am, which will include actors, stakeholders and apprentice testimonies to talk about the successes that apprentices have had during their participation.
