“The Morning Show” by Apple TV + accumulates on more Oscar winners while the program loses Steam | TV / Streaming

During three seasons spread over six years, the Apple TV + Prestige vehicle “The Morning Show” especially succeeded in ping-ping, stars, stars, substantial comments on the problems and events of the Morning Show such as the #MeToo movement, COVVI-19 Pandemic, ROE V. Deputy Melodrame on journalists become News too often. As a person who co-animated a morning television program in Chicago and spent more than a few years as a contributor to other new / information programs (not to mention a certain film revision program), I was completely entertained by jutely performances and the glameful parameters and the developments of the plot Cliffhanger. Even when there are moments when the series is not more realistic as for network television that “WKRP in Cincinnati” concerned the local ROCK ROCK of the TOP 40.

Season 4 of “The Morning Show” sees some winners of the Oscars (Jeremy Irons and Marion Cotillard) join an extremely talented casting, if it is sometimes overcrowded, led by Linchpins Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Billy Crudup. As always, it is a visually striking spectacle, with superb characters forever on enveloping balconies with breathtaking views on Manhattan, and expensive sets involving a large -scale demonstration in the streets of New York, as well as elements of capcini provocative Piccini. Alas, when we arrive at this last sequence, the “TM” took so many ridiculous and often by hand turns that the whole vehicle stole a cliff. It is only a matter of time before the whole falls out in a lot of important nonsense.

The problems of season 4 start at the end of season 3, effectively sending the three main characters and a major guest star in distinct directions. The last time we saw Bradley Jackson of Witherspoon, she was about to clean up with the federals to cover her brother’s assault against a police officer during the riots of the Capitol. Cory Ellison de Crudup saw his time while the CEO of UBA Network ends. At the same time, Alex Levy d’Aniston had doubled his boyfriend of billionaire technology, Paul Marks (Jon Hamm), by designing an agreement where UBA would merge with Rival Network NBN. Cut two years later, and all four indeed made their separate ways – so how can we bring Bradley, Alex, Cory and even Paul back in the life of the other? Through a series of inherently developed conspiracy machinations that feel completely artificial. (They also found a way to have the passionate producer of Mark Duplass, Chip Black, return to action. Duplass is once again electric as the closest thing to a moral compass in this ethical shark tank.)

Season 4 takes place at the end of spring / early summer 2024. The next summer Olympic games in Paris are an early focal point, UBA pinning its financial hopes on its coverage of games, which will include a component of major AI. (Opportune!) This is another example of “The Morning Show” which draws from real world events as a dramatic source material – but curiously, there is almost no mention of the presidential election of 2024, which, of course, was THE History of this summer. The first episode focuses on an international incident in which Alex finds himself once again on the other side of the news – but this history thread is pushed aside in the following chapters, which focus on the dilemmas in which various characters make really doubtful choices with regard to torrid connections and long -term affairs, fold journalistic ethics and break the law. (“Should I reject myself from [a particular story]? “Bradley asks Alex at some point, and I was almost shouting:” Yes, Bradley. Yes you do it. “)

The sublime Marion Cotillard is all withers and transactions in the back shop as Céline Dumont (sounds like a Marx Brothers foil), a scion of a leading European family dynasty which has become president of the Board of Directors of the UBA and included even more power. On his credit, “TMS” highlights the unique difficulties encountered by a number of minority characters, including Stella Bak, president of the UBA division of Greta Lee; Mia Jordan of Karen Pittman, the producer who continues to face the glass ceiling; And Christina Hunter by Nicole Beharie, the old Olympic gold medalist who has become the anchor of a rising star. (The three actors are exceptional, bringing it out of the park in their respective showcases. “The Morning Show” is important on emotionally loaded monologues, often confessional.)

In a secondary intrigue which seems to be designed mainly to provide equipment to the Emmy rolls, the great irons parachute as a remote father of Alex, a law lecturer who never took the trouble to hide her disappointment in his career choices. This leads to a magnificent scene where she takes it out with her father, although it has little to do with pressing questions.

Then there is Brodie “Bro” Harman by Boyd Holbrook, an extremely popular live podcaster / streamer who is part of the UBA-Ubn fusion, to Alex’s great dismay. It is a combo / chamber tray of the writer of Joe Rogan and Alex Jones, for example, “the number of American sperm falls faster than Biden’s ballot numbers. This is why you should go to my website and order a Bro Greens bathtub. My own daily supplement to get these t levels on the right track, to get back into the bag. ” Many and many times, when “Bro” says something scandalous, Alex traps his feet and cursed. Ooooh is the worst! This guy could have been an upset character … in 2015.

Crudup continues to shine in a career role as Cory, undoubtedly the most complex and interesting character in the series. Aniston and Witherspoon are excellent actors, but it almost appears as if they share our feeling that Alex and Bradley are no longer particularly fresh and stimulating, and may have been played. Just before the first episode of season 4, Apple TV + announced that “The Morning Show” will be renewed for a fifth season, and I am completely for that. Hoping that everyone is gathering, takes a large last swing and finds a way to sleep the series on a slight increase.

Season 4 of “The Morning Show” will be presented on September 17 on Apple TV +. Nine of the 10 episodes were made available for examination.
